Solar Energy and the World of Atoms-A K-12 Nanotech Curriculum

During the last 10 weeks, I was fortunate to be part of the Research Experience for Teachers (RET) funded partly by AMPAC, UCF and NSF. Because of the knowledge that I have attained, I plan to introduce my grade 11/12 physics and chemistry students to the vast and yet fascinating world of nanotechnology. Furthermore, this will give me an opportunity to further explain and correlate the fundamentals of atoms, electrons and energy in relation to nanotechnology. By integrating everyday uses and applications, students’ interest in science can be easily peaked.
